NEIL Harris thinks his Millwall side are growing in confidence in a “unified” Den.
The Lions put in a confident and at times quite vibrant display against West Bromwich Albion in yesterday’s 1-1 home draw.
Harris’ side made more chances and looked more dangerous than they did in his two previous home games in charge, the 1-0 wins against Watford and Birmingham City.
And the Lions boss puts it down to his side growing in confidence at home after a season of struggles playing in front of their own fans.
Speaking after the game, Harris said: “I think we’re seeing a Millwall team growing in confidence playing here at The Den. I was honest enough to say there was probably a little bit of fear in the ground from the fans when I took over from not getting results and the players a bit nervous playing at home.
“I think what we’re seeing now is a confident team playing with belief here at The Den and a unified stadium. And that’s what we have to be as a football club.
“The demand from me is to be the best you can be with the ball – we work on patterns of play and give them ideas. And we’re still seeing some players getting up to fitness like Michael Obafemi.
“I think we’ll continue to get better as we go along but again, it was a strong, strong Millwall performance.”
