THERE has been limited action so far for Millwall players off on international duty.
George Saville, Matija Sarkic, Brooke Norton-Cuffy and Michael Obafemi have all jetted off away from Calmont Road to be with their countries during the pause in club football.
But so far only Norton-Cuffy has appeared as he came off the bench to replace Manchester City’s Rico Lewis in the final seven minutes in England Under-21s 5-1 victory away at Azerbaijan in European Championship qualifying.
Harvey Elliott scored twice while Noni Madueke, Jaden Philogene of Hull City and Leeds United’s Archie Gray all got on the scoresheet.
Elsewhere, Milan Mijatovic was favoured over Matija Sarkic in the Montenegro goal for their friendly win over Belarus.
Mijatovic, who plays for Serbian club Zeleznicar Pancevo, kept a clean sheet in the 2-0 victory.
Sarkic will be hoping he gets the nod for Monday’s game against North Macedonia.
And George Saville was absent from the matchday squad for Northern Ireland’s 1-1 friendly draw with Romania.
Michael Obafemi will be looking to get his first slice of action this evening when the Republic of Ireland host Belgium in a friendly.
