A man who was found dead after his car was involved in a crash outside an Overground station has been formally named by police.
Olufemi Shonubi, 58, from Isle of Dogs, Tower Hamlets, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene in Brunel Road on Wednesday, April 26.
Police were called to Brunel Road, SE16, at 5.50am on April 26 following reports of a collision involving a car and a van.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found Mr Shonubi, the driver of the car, unresponsive.
A postmortem examination took place on April 28, however it was inconclusive and further tests are being conducted to find the exact cause of death.
Mr Shonubi’s next of kin have been informed.
Nobody else was injured in the incident and there have been no arrests.
Inquiries continue.
