A murder investigation has been launched after a seventeen-year-old was fatally stabbed in Sydenham on Saturday night.
The victim was found in Hazel Grove near the junction with Sydenham Road at around 7.19pm on Saturday (April 10) after police were called to reports of a male lying injured on the street.
Despite the efforts of emergency services he was pronounced dead shortly after 8pm.
Although the victim has not been named by police, the Met says his next of kin have been informed.
In a statement, a spokesperson said a crime scene remains in place and there would be an increased police presence in the area.
Officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to call 101, providing the reference CAD6072/10APR.
