Two Parisian multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriters united by their French connection and creativity: Maïa Barouh, defiantly “Half-u” Japanese, and Blumi, who mixes her French blood with British: Maïa is known for her theatrical stage presence, her volcanic energy, her humour, madness and incredible border-crossing musicianship. Solo, in this intimate setting, she will present her latest supremely Franco-Japanese album ‘AÏDA’ (“Between”), in which she questions her identity and evokes themes of racism, feminism and exile. Blumi, aka Emma Broughton, deft on flute, guitar, bass, synths, combines a hint of French flair with an innate, more British, obsession with melody to produce songs of beauty and mesmerizing vocals. This will be her first time performing in the UK.
