Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses after a stabbing in the very early hours of this morning near City Hall.
Police were called by London Ambulance Service 12.18am (Sunday, 11 April), to a report of man with stab injuries in the More London Riverside area, next to the Mayor London’s building by Tower Bridge.
A nineteen-year-old was found suffering stab injuries. He has been taken to hospital.
While police await a full assessment, they have described his condition is ‘not believed to be life-threatening’.
An investigation is under way to establish the circumstances.
Police cordons were put in place at several locations overnight, but all cordons have now been lifted.
There has been no arrest at this early stage.
Any witnesses, or anyone with information that may assist police, are asked to call 101 quoting reference 127/11april.
Police emphasised that members of the public should make the call and that calls can be made anonymously.
