A teenage boy remains in a ‘critical but stable’ condition in hospital after being stabbed in broad daylight in an SE1 street on Saturday.
Police were called to reports of a fight in Dodson Street near to Waterloo Road at 5.55pm.
The boy, believed to be sixteen, was found with a stab wound in nearby London Road and was rushed to hospital.
Another boy, thought to be fifteen, was also found suffering stab wounds at the scene and taken to hospital for treatment.
However, his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Three teenagers – two aged fourteen, and one aged sixteen – were arrested on suspicion of GBH and taken into custody, said Scotland Yard.
They have subsequently been bailed to return on a date in early September.
Police enquries are continuing.
It is disgraceful that the attackers were allowed to return home whilst the victims remain in hospital fighting for their life and fear of further retaliation. The system.is too soft on knife crime and that is how it has spiraled out of control.
