While Harris Boys’ Academy in East Dulwich is still awaiting its confirmation of its full results data, its head teacher says early indications show it has been a particularly successful year for sports.
Two students, Ben and Jamie, have secured the grades they need to go to the University of Surrey and study Sport Exercise and Science. The university has one of the top courses in this particular field in the UK.
Peter Groves, the academy’s head teacher, gave another special mention to student Jaabir who gained an AAB and will be going to study Economics at Queen Mary, University of London.
The academy says around 91 per cent of all students taking technical qualifications have received a distinction or distinction*.
