A man has drowned in the Thames near London Bridge, police say.
Officers were called to the scene at 5.33pm on Monday, December 12, after concerns were raised about a man seen “entering” the Thames.
Bystanders reportedly tried to save the man, in his twenties, by throwing him a life ring but couldn’t get it close enough to the victim.
Officers attended and carried out a search with support from the Met’s Marine Policing Unit, City of London Police and the RNLI but the man could not be found.
