The funeral of a Millwall fan who created his own walking football team for people with cancer will take place next month.
Tony Linforth-Hall died on Friday, July 14 after suffering from terminal blood cancer for a couple of years.
His family are inviting the community to come and celebrate his life on Thursday, August 10, as he is laid to rest at Honor Oak Crematorium.
Despite having an incurable illness, the avid Millwall supporter never let that stop him from helping others.
He formed a walking football team for people with cancer to keep playing the game they love.
Only a few months ago in an interview, Tony told us he created the team to share what he believed helped to ‘keep him alive.’ His legacy lives on – not only with the team but with the hope he created for people at their darkest hour.
Given his love of the club, the family are planning to scatter his ashes at the Millwall Football ground.

The funeral will take place at Honor Oak Crematorium, Brockley Way, SE24 2LJ at 1 pm.
