Dulwich Hamlet maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 1-1 draw at Concord Rangers on Tuesday evening.
The Hamlet took the lead through Dan Smith in the 68th minute but the hosts equalised eight minutes later.
Smith had the ball in the net an hour in but the referee had whistled for a foul on the Hamlet man. Smith didn’t have to wait much longer for his goal as he finished after Jayden Clarke’s shot have been blocked.
Concord had been second best for much of the half but got back on terms when Lewis Johnson set up Ricky Modeste to beat Dulwich goalkeeper Charlie Grainger.
The visitors had a penalty shout in the last minute when Ronnie Vint appeared to be fouled but play was waved on.
There was still time for one more chance for the Hamlet only for Danny Mills to be denied by home stopper Melvin Minter.
The point puts Gavin Rose’s side seventh in the National League South table, with five points from three games.
After winning their opening game of the season against Braintree Town, Dulwich were seconds away from defeat at Farnborough last Saturday before Frankie Raymond earned his side a point with a dramatic penalty eight minutes into added-time at the end of the game.
The Hamlet will aim to continue their solid start when they return to Champion Hill this Saturday after two games on the road. Slough Town are the visitors for a 3pm kick-off.
