Four fire engines and about 25 firefighters rushed to put out a flat fire in Southwark on Saturday (May 22).
The fire, on a flat in Tabard Street, started at around midday and was under control about an hour later.
The flat, on the third floor of the building, was partly damaged by fire. One man left the building before the firefighters arrived.
Fire crews from Old Kent Road, Dockhead, Lambeth and Shoreditch fire stations attended the scene. The cause of the fire is believed to have involved a lighter that was being refilled.
