Labour’s Sadiq Khan has won a second term in office as Mayor of London.
He secured 55.2 per cent o of the popular vote, after entering a run-off with Conservative rival Shaun Bailey, when neither managed to secure a majority in the first round of voting.
The Green Party’s Sian Berry came third, while the Liberal Democrats’ Luisa Porritt was fourth and lost her deposit after failing to win more than five per cent of the vote.
Labour also retains its Lambeth & Southwark seat. Marina Ahmad succeeds Florence Eshalomi, who became MP for Vauxhall in 2019. Marina Ahmad won 49 per cent of the vote.

People in Southwark & Labour also voted overwhelming for Sadiq Khan to stay on with 51 per cent electing him as mayor and 20 per cent for Shaun Bailey.
Sadiq Khan was seen as the favourite and some pollsters even predicted he would win more than half of the first-round votes.
But Shaun Bailey, who received 44.8 per cent of the first and second-round votes increased the Conservative vote share by 1.6 per cent.
He said he had been “written off” by pollsters, journalists and other politicians. “But Londoners didn’t write me off,” he added.
He congratulated Sadiq Khan but said he hoped the re-elected mayor wouldn’t “blame everything on the government”.
While Sadiq Khan failed to reach his record-setting vote total of 2016, he did win with a 228,000-vote majority.
He said: “I will always be a mayor for all Londoners, working to improve the lives of every single person in this city.
“The results of the elections around the UK shows our country, and even our city, remains deeply divided.
“The scars of Brexit have yet to heal. A crude culture war is pushing us further apart.
“Economic inequality is getting worse both within London and in different parts of our country.
“As we seek to confront the enormity of the challenge ahead, and as we endeavour to rebuild from this pandemic, we must use this moment of national recovery to heal those damaging divisions.”

Sadie Khan said the last time he won the election that he would help working class people and tackle crime in London, but what as he done because I Don’t see anything ,it’s still the same ,but as a ex lawyer he knows how to get people to believe in him even though he ain’t done any thing since he’s got the job ,really he looks like a doughnut.
