Two people have been arrested after an eighteen-year-old man stabbed to death on the Rockingham Estate in Elephant and Castle on Sunday.
Police have now named the victim as McCaulay Junior Urugbezi-Edwards. The News understands he is from the Camberwell and Peckham area.
Police said on Sunday, May 5, McCauley was chased by his attacker from Newington Gardens to Tiverton Street where he was found by paramedics suffering from stab wounds at 9.30pm. He died just over an hour later in hospital.
A seventeen-year-old boy was arrested in Norwich on Tuesday, and remains in custody.
A 33-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender at a residential address in south-east London the same night, and was released on bail.
Officers say the two are known to each other.
The murder investigation is being led by DCI Richard Leonard, who said: “Two arrests have been made but we still need to hear from anyone with information that could help us.
“We are following a number of active lines of enquiry based on CCTV, forensic analysis and local engagement.
“McCaulay was chased from Newington Gardens, which is known as Gaol Park, into Tiverton Street where he was attacked and found shortly after by LAS medics.

On Monday night, friends held a vigil for McCauley at the scene of his death, with flowers placed by the kerbside.
