Patients in the catchment area of Dulwich’s new health centre are being asked to submit their name suggestions for the building.
The new centre will open in 2020 on the site of the former Dulwich Community Hospital and house a range of services including a GP surgery, blood testing, kidney dialysis, physiotherapy, children’s community clinics and mental health services.
Presumably to avoid a Boaty McBoatface situation, Southwark Clinical Commissioning Group said: “Please be as creative as you like, but do bear in mind that the final name needs to be suitable for an NHS community health centre.”
Four shortlisted names will then go to a public vote later in the year. Residents living in Dulwich, Camberwell, Peckham, and Nunhead have until 11am on Monday, July 15, to submit their ideas.
Entries should be 25 letters or under and demonstrate a connection to Southwark’s community and history.
To nominate your name, visit www.southwarkccg.nhs.uk/namingdulwich or write to NHS Southwark CCG, 1st Floor Hub 5, PO Box 64529, London, SE1P 5LX.
