The News has filmed a part of Tower of London’s free ‘spectacular’ light show to give readers a taste of what is on offer.
‘About Us’ is a light show that takes spectators on an enthralling journey through time and the cosmos, beginning with the Big Bang and ending 13.8 billion years later in the modern day.
The incredible display against the walls of the Tower of London has been dazzling spectators all week, with closing night set for tomorrow (Saturday, November 19).
It is part of Unboxed: Creativity in the UK – one of ten major creative commissions that have been enjoyed by millions in more than 100 locations across the UK this year.
In each location, the buildings host a story celebrating the infinite ways that we are connected to the cosmos, natural world and one another. Parts of the show have been created by schoolchildren and members of each community.

The show at the Tower of London features live choirs from across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales performing an original score by acclaimed composer and musician Nitin Sawhney CBE. There is also poetry by leading poets and schoolchildren, as well as a multimedia installation.
The shows will run every 30 minutes between 5.30pm and 9.30pm each evening from npw until Saturday, November 19 and are FREE to attend.
