Two separate groups of Bermondsey children have paid tribute to the Queen.
Kids at Little Acorns nursery on Drummond Road made a card for the Queen and laid it down in honour of the late monarch, who died last Thursday (September 8) aged 96.
“Thank you for everything you have done for us! We will miss you!,” the card read. The Little Acorns children’s tribute even featured on ITV News.
Separately, children at Southwark Park Primary School painted portraits of the Queen and other works of art as their own tribute.
Students at the school, which is just over the road from Southwark Park, the start of the queue to see the Queen lying in state, also decorated the school gates with a sign saying “And thank you for everything.”
