A teenager from Lewisham has been arrested in connection with a scam website offering tax refunds.
The website was reported to the Met’s cyber crime command in April.
It claimed to offer refunds from HMRC but police said it was solely set up to obtain users’ bank details.
On Wednesday (July 1) police confirmed an eighteen-year-old was arrested on suspicion of fraud by false representation.
He was interviewed in a south London police station and has now been released under investigation.
