NEIL Harris is fearful that Tom Bradshaw could be out for an extended period after the Millwall striker missed today’s win over Watford.
The Welshman was ruled out before kick-off but the Lions managed without him thanks to Zian Flemming’s early goal in a 1-0 win.
Bradshaw, who has been in and out of the team all season due to injury, has an Achilles issue that he picked up in training during the week.
Speaking after the win over Watford, Lions boss Harris said: “I’m not going to confirm at the moment because he’s seeing a specialist on Monday but I would be really, really pleased if we see him again this season.
“It’s his Achilles, which is a fatigue injury. It’s been happening over a period of time and it just went Tuesday in training unfortunately.”
The absence comes weeks after Kevin Nisbet was also ruled out with a long-term issue, leaving Millwall with reduced options up front.
January loan signing Michael Obafemi led the line again today but has yet to complete 90 minutes across his five Millwall appearances.
He was subbed off for Ryan Longman in the second half against Watford, the second time that the 23-year-old, who has largely played at wing-back this season, has had to fill in up front due to striker shortages.
The Lions’ other options include the likes of Duncan Watmore and Aidomo Emakhu.
Bradshaw is one of five senior Millwall players who is currently out of contract in the summer.
