Scotland Yard has re-appealed for witnesses as it investigates the fatal stabbing of Bilal Kargbo in the centre of Peckham, seen by huge crowds of commuters.
Mr Kargbo, 26, from Borough, died shortly before 4pm in Blenheim Grove, on April 28, after he was stabbed twice in the chest and arm.
The father of four moved to London from Sierra Leone when he was young, and had worked in a phone shop close to where the attack happened.
Detective inspector Jason Grafham, who is leading the investigation for the Homicide and Major Crime Command, said: “Our enquiries so far lead us to believe that a large crowd gathered around the altercation… a crowd of around 60/70 people. It is crucial to our investigation that all those that witnessed this incident speak to us about what they saw.
“And we are also very keen to see any videos, that we believe, were taken by some of those witnesses. We only need the video and devices they are recorded on will not need to be surrendered to us.
“I would urge anyone that hasn’t spoken to police to contact our incident room as soon as possible.”
