A pedestrian has died after a road incident involving a lorry on Peckham High Street.
Police were called to the scene by London Ambulance Service at 3.35pm on Wednesday, August 23.
Sadly, a pedestrian died at the scene.
Road closures were put in place.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at about 15:35hrs on Wednesday, 23 August to reports of a lorry in collision with a pedestrian on Peckham High Street, SE15.
“Emergency services attended. Despite their efforts, the pedestrian died at the scene. Road closures are in place.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 3.36pm today (23 August) to reports of a road traffic collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on Peckham High Street, SE15.
“We have sent a number of resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer and a medic in a fast response car. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“Sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, a person died at the scene.”
