High winds have torn the roof off a south London flat which was attended to by firefighters using a 32-metre ladder to make the area safe.
The aluminium roof of a three-storey block of flats on Longfield Walk in Tulse Hill had “peeled off” amid gusty conditions, on Friday, March 10.
Firefighters were called to the scene at 9.51am and worked through the morning to make the scene safe, finishing their work by 11.23am.
A cordon was put in place as a precaution. There were no reports of any injuries.
Photos appear to show planters placed on the broken roof to prevent it from flying away.
