Millwall Lionesses on the look out for new young talent

Fancy yourself as a gifted footballer? Now you have the chance to prove it and join the elite women’s football club in Southwark.

Millwall Lionesses Regional Talent Club (RTC) and Development Squad are holding registrations for trials for the upcoming 2017-18 season.

The RTC provides player development opportunities for elite female players at U10, U12, U14 and U16 level.

It forms part of the England Women’s Elite Talent Pathway, and in the first season the RTC has already had notable success, with six players receiving international recognition as well as the U16s going unbeaten all campaign, winning their league and reaching the FA Youth Cup Final to be played this month.

The Development Squad links the U16s and the first team. As well as an elite group of players who are moving up for U16s, the Lionesses are also holding open trials for players from other RTCs or Centres of Excellence.

Trials will take place at the home of the Lionesses, St Paul’s Sports Ground in Rotherhithe, Salter Rd, London, SE16 5EF, unless otherwise stated.

RTC first stage trial dates

U16: June 17 1pm-3pm

U10: June 18 10am-12pm

U12: June 18 10am-12pm

Second stage trials will be held one week later.

Provide: Full name, DOB, position, previous playing history.

Development trial dates

Second stage trials will be held one week later.
