Fisher make promising start to the season

Fisher continued their unbeaten start to the new SCEFL Premier Division season with an impressive 3-1 win over Welling Town at St Paul’s on Tuesday evening.

Skipper Rob Brown scored twice, the second from the penalty spot just before half-time, to put Allan Fenn’s side in command as they look to improve on last season’s third-place finish.

Elyon Marshall-Katung 68 replied for the visitors with 22 minutes left when he fired home a spot-kick.

But Jamie Yila made the points safe when he added a third ten minutes from time.

Fenn’s side opened their campaign with a 0-0 draw at Deal Town on Saturday.
