Docklands pass spot test

Docklands Under-12s are through to the first round of the SELKENT League Cup after a dramatic penalty-shootout win over Kent Football United at the weekend, writes John Kelly…

The preliminary-round tie finished 2-2 after extra-time after a brace from Bjorn Thomas.

Frankie Lane, Frankie Hull and Ollie Sheppard all converted from twelve yards and with Kent missing their first three spot-kicks Docklands secured their place in the first round where they will face Long Lane Pumas for a quarter-final berth.

Man of the match for Docklands was Ben Sangare.
