Legends play off hopes end

Southwark Legend’s U18 basketball sides season came to an end last Saturday thanks to a 46-36 quarter final playoff loss to Bucks Hornets in Buckinghamshire.

The Peckham side topped their division to make the play offs and this was their first quarter final appearance in post season, but they came up short in the last eight contest at the weekend.

Across the campaign the Legends lost just three times in nineteen outings.

Head coach Rotimi Adeeko said: “It was a good run although we felt that we had the team capable of going all the way.

“For us this is a learning experience and I’m glad that we continue to improve every season and look forward to our next campaign already.

“Thanks to all our coaches, players, volunteers, supporters and staff at the Damilola Taylor Centre who have motivated us throughout the season.” If you are aged sixteen and under and interested in joining the Southwark Legends contact Anthony on 07904973684.
