ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1)
(CAMBERWELL ROAD)

TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF BUS LANE AND BANNED TURN

 

  1. The Council of the London Borough of Southwark and in consultation with Transport for London hereby gives notice, that they made, an order, under section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to facilitate sewer works being proposed in part of Camberwell Road.
  2. The effect of the order would be to suspend the Northbound Bus Lane in Camberwell Road located between Addington Square and No’s 115.
  3. Ban the right turn from the Apple Green Petrol Station onto Camberwell Road located between No’s 96 – 106 Camberwell Road.
  4. The restrictions will not apply to any person or vehicle being used in connection with the said works, or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes or anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.
  5. Exemptions will be provided in the Order to permit reasonable access to premises, so far as it is practical without interference with the execution of the said works.
  6. The alternative route will be Albany Road, Thurlow Street, Flint Street, Rodney Road, Walworth Road, Camberwell Road.
  7. The restriction will be in place between the 13th – 24th September and will apply during such times and to such extent as indicated by the traffic signs.
