Youth Trust training centre to open in Bermondsey

Young people in the borough seeking training, education and employment opportunities in construction will benefit after a new training centre was opened in Bermondsey.

The centre was opened in Drummond Road by Construction Youth Trust, a charity helping young people develop in the industry.

Grosvenor Britain & Ireland will host the new centre for the next two years on the former Lewisham and Southwark College site.

Christine Townley, Executive Director for Construction Youth Trust, said: “Construction Youth Trust is delighted to be opening this new training facility with the great support of Grosvenor. This is another step in our plans for expanding our support for young people in Southwark and across London.
