Two police officers hospitalised after attempting to stop Nunhead burglary

Two police officers were injured in the line of duty this week as they attempted to foil a burglary at a home in Nunhead.

Police had been called to Brayard Road in SE15 at 6.45 pm on Wednesday night to reports of a burglary taking place.

Two officers were injured during a subsequent scuffle with three suspects – who remain at large.

Both officers were taken to hospital and have now been discharged.  Neither has life-threatening nor life-changing injuries.

No arrests have been made as police continue their enquiries.
