Stop wriggling and take responsibility for sewer blunder!

I agree with your indignant correspondents. Council Leader Peter John should stop wriggling and take responsibility for Southwark Council’s blunder in failing to get its legal challenge to the super-sewer submitted in time.

I think he owes it to residents around Chambers Street Bermondsey to sack the Council officer responsible and ask the relevant cabinet member to resign. I don’t suppose it will happen though. So could Southwark News at least tell us who the guilty parties are, and what they are paid to represent our interests?

John Taylor, Odessa Street, Rotherhithe.
