Another Rotherhithe boozer at risk to redevelopment

Another historic boozer looks set to be demolished and replaced with flats after a planning application for 346 Rotherhithe Street was submitted to Southwark Council.

The building previously housed the Three Compasses and Deal Porter pubs and most recently a restaurant called Pizza Lounge. A pub has been located at the date since the mid-18th century.

The application outlines the planned “demolition of the existing building and erection of a four storey building comprising nine residential units.

“Associated landscaping and cycle parking” will also be introduced as part of the application.
