Southwark Council’s Peter John up for Leader of Year award

The leader of Southwark Council, Peter John, has been shortlisted for the 2016 Councillor Achievement Awards for Leader of the Year.

With nearly 200 nominations, a record amount for the Awards in its seventh year, some of the other nine categories include Young Councillor of the Year and Local Trust’s Community Collaborator Award.

Winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on Tuesday November 1 against the backdrop of the Guildhall’s Livery Hall.  The winners will be selected by a group of judges made up of local government experts and councillors.
