Nunhead to get first cash machine

Nunhead shoppers rejoice – a planning application for the area’s first cash machine has been received by Southwark Council.

The ‘badly needed’ machine would be installed in the exterior wall of a business at 26 Nunhead Green.

Cllr Fiona Colley, cabinet member and Nunhead ward councillor, said: “This is fantastic news for the residents in Nunhead and the council. A cash machine has been needed badly in this area for a long time and I am very pleased to see that thanks to the hard work of Southwark Council that yet another of our promises is being delivered successfully.”

Do you know that you can view and register to see any planning application on the council website –www.southwark.gov.uk/planningregister
