UPDATE: A body found yesterday morning is believed to that of missing 38-year-old Christian Pozzi

Officers say that a body found yesterday morning is that of  missing 38-year-old Christian Pozzi, who was last seen on Clapham High Street on Tuesday.

A body was found shortly before 10.00am on Friday morning (March 8) in Battersea Park.

Officers released a statement yesterday evening saying: “while formal identification has not yet taken place, officers are satisfied that the deceased is Christian Pozzi,” a Italian national.

His next-of-kin have been informed.

Police said “the death is not being treated as suspicious. A file will be prepared for the Coroner.”

Adding: “We thank the public and the media for their assistance.”
