Street cricket competition for Southwark workplaces this week

Businesses across Southwark are encouraged to sign up to the street cricket workplace challenge taking place this Thursday.

As the England v India test series comes to a close, Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Sport Facility is running a street cricket friendly for local companies – with fancy dress optional.

Everyone Active’s community development manager, James Tierney, said: “Cricket is a great community sport which celebrates team spirit and support.

“We hope to capture some of the excitement of this summer’s test series and are looking forward to welcoming local business teams to the crease to see what they’re made of.

“It’s all lighthearted and everyone is welcome to put forward a team to face the bowler and enjoy the evening.”

Entry costs £5 per person and teams of 6-8 people must include at least two women.
