Pensioner dies after Old Kent Road motorbike collision

A pensioner has died after a collision with a motorcycle in the Old Kent Road on January 8.

The 72-year-old woman was taken to hospital in a critical condition after the accident.

She died from her injuries on January 12.

The male driver of the motorcycle stopped at the scene and suffered from minor injuries. He was not arrested following the collision.

Next of kin has been informed and an inquest will be carried out by Southwark Coroner’s Court.

Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone who witnessed the collision should call officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 020 8285 1574.
