Motorcyclist in serious condition after early morning collision in Camberwell

A man was taken to hospital with head injuries after a road collision in Camberwell in the early hours of this morning.

The collision involved a motorcyclist and a car at about 3am at the junction between Camberwell Road and Urlwin Street.

The male motorcyclist was taken to a south London hospital where he is currently in a serious but stable condition.

No arrests have been made. Local police are making enquiries.

Camberwell Road was closed while police attended the incident, and was reopened at about 5.30am. Urlwin Street later reopened at 8.40am.
