Confirmed: Poundland to open on Southwark Park Road replacing Co-Op Food

Poundland have confirmed they are opening a new store on Southwark Park Road on June 11, after a month of speculation.

The discount store will occupy the space left by Co-Op Food, which closed its doors to the Blue on May 7.

Poundland’s Retail Director, Martin Dawson, said: “Poundland has grown significantly over the past twelve months and it’s fantastic to see this expansion continuing with a new store in Bermondsey.”

The new addition to the high street comes after a difficult year as Santander also announced it will close in August.
