Southwark Council will fine owners who have not chipped their dogs

Residents will face a £500 fine next month if they do not chip their dogs following the introduction of a new government policy.

The move will help Southwark Council clamp down on dog fouling and strays. Residents who have not yet chipped their dog can do so for free at events between now and April. Visit chipmydog.org
