19-storey Bankside Tower gets go-ahead

Plans to build a 19-storey tower were approved by councillors last week.

The new multi-purpose development will also include ten- and fifteen-storey buildings, which together will house 163 residential units – none of which are affordable homes.

The development will be built on the site of the former National Grid headquarters at 185 Park Street, which is due to be demolished.
