On September 7 free activities will be available to members and non-members at Camberwell Leisure Centre, Surrey Docks Watersports Centre, Seven Islands Leisure Centre, The Castle Centre and Dulwich Leisure Centre.

Everyone Active, a leisure management company, has organised free high intensity interval training classes at Surrey Docks Watersports Centre, 19:00. At Camberwell Leisure Centre free personal training sessions will take place from 08:00 to 14:00, and high intensity interval training at 9:00, 12:00 and 17:00.

A range of Functional Training Circuit Training sessions and 30 minute gym workshops will be available at the new Castle Centre. In the newly refurbished gym at Dulwich Leisure Centre 30 minute workshops are similarly accessible throughout the day.

Phil Edwards, Everyone Active Contract Manager said, “We are passionate about encouraging people to get active, and we are hugely supportive of National Fitness Day.”

“From HIIT classes to PT taster sessions, we will be offering something for everyone, no matter your age or ability”

“We are really looking forward to seeing people come down with their friends and family to join in on the fun.”

Cllr Maisie Anderson, Cabinet Member for Public Health, Parks and Leisure said, “With Team GB’s fantastic Olympic success over the last fortnight fresh in our minds, National Fitness is a great opportunity to make the most of our leisure centres and try something new.”

Members and Non Members should be aware that there are currently no changing or shower facilities available at Seven Islands Leisure Centre due to investment in to the centre by Southwark Council.
