Registration for Southwark’s free swim and gym pilot programme is now open.

Residents aged over 60 and 18 and under can register online ahead of the launch date on 23rd May.

Under the new scheme, children and young people aged 18 and under living in Southwark can swim and use the gym facilities (unless they are under 14) for free in any Southwark leisure centre all day Friday, and Saturday and Sunday afternoons.  Over 60s will be given free access to the silver sessions programme throughout the week at Southwark leisure centres.

Cllr Barrie Hargrove, Southwark’s cabinet member for public health, parks and leisure said: “I am very excited that we are now ready to invite residents to start getting involved and sign up to our pilot scheme. The pilot will help us gain a better understanding of what works best ahead of rolling out the general offer next summer.”
