Neil Coyle MP becomes a dad

Bermondsey and Old Southwark MP Neil Coyle had a more interesting Monday morning than most this week when he welcomed his first child to the world.

He and his wife Sarah, who have been married since 2014, named their baby girl Esme.

He told the News: “Esme arrived just before 7.30 on Monday morning after a difficult night but I’m really pleased she and her mum are doing really well and expect to be home Wednesday.

“It’s a nerve-racking but exciting time, although being in St Thomas’ facing Parliament on the river just reminds me of all the work that needs doing!”
