Crystal Palace footballers bring Christmas cheer to King’s College Hospital

Children spending Christmas at King’s College Hospital were visited by gift-bearing Crystal Palace footballers last month.

Connor Wickham and Joel Ward delivered presents including puzzles and cuddly toys to kids treated on the Rays of Sunshine ward, for children with liver conditions.

The pair met Bobby Jo Killoh, from Aberdeen, who came to King’s for a liver transplant.

His Dad, Iain, said: “It’s great to have the players here, it’s a put a smile on all the kids’ faces.”

Ward sister Natalie Lynch, a big Palace fan, was particularly delighted, saying: “Many of the children on this ward have been here for a long time so it’s lovely that the players were able to visit and bring some Christmas cheer, as well as some great gifts, with them.

“They were so nice to all the children and their families and made time to chat with everyone.

“My family are all Crystal Palace fans so I was especially pleased they were able to visit!”
