Great school of China – Redriff Primary kids celebrate Chinese New Year

Pupils at Redriff Primary School celebrated the Chinese New Year in colourful fashion with a week of cultural performances.

The Rotherhithe children dressed in traditional Chinese clothes, learned about the country’s heritage and food, and put on a stunning dance display.

Head teacher Mickey Kelly said: “It is fantastic for the children to engage themselves in another culture as they are this week. There is a growing Chinese population in Rotherhithe and it is important to embrace and learn about diversity.”
