New Southwark Park Café given planning permission

A new café in Southwark Park big enough for 140 people was approved last week by Southwark Council.

The plans include a pavilion incorporating a café, public toilets and park offices. Gary Glover chair of the Friends of Southwark Park, said: “It’s exciting that a new cafe will be provided for the community, along with new toilet facilities and new park offices, we hope the new cafe iconic hub in this great old and lived Park.”
