Investigation opens into unexplained death of man found suffering from head injury in West Norwood

After a man found suffering from a head injury in West Norwood died in hospital, police have opened an investigation into what they say is still an ‘unexplained’ death.

Officers found the injured 25-year-old in Dunelm Grove, near Norwood Cemetery, at around 1.52am in the early hours of Tuesday, April 9.

He died later that morning in hospital.

Although he has not been formally identified, the Met says his family have been informed and a post-mortem will be held in due course.

Officers say his death is being treated as unexplained and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward, by calling 101.
