Breaking News: Police called to ‘assault’ on Rotherhithe New Road

Officers are investigating a reported assault on Rotherhithe New Road which has left two people injured.

The News received a report at around 5.30pm of paramedics and police officers on the south Bermondsey road, with a woman lying on the ground said to be receiving treatment.

A Met spokesperson confirmed: “Police were called at approximately 17:03hrs to reports of an assault on Rotherhithe new road, SE16.

“Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service.

“The two females involved are being attended to by paramedics with injuries that are not believed to be serious.

“Enquiries continue.”
