West Dulwich’s Kingsdale Foundation School celebrates record A Level results

Pupils at Kingsdale Foundation School in West Dulwich are in high spirits after receiving a batch of the school’s best ever A Level results, writes Jessica Aszkenasy…

Nearly 40 per cent of all grades achieved were  A* or A, nearly two-thirds were between  A* and B and around 90 per cent were between A* and C.

Five students achieved three A*s each and 30 achieved an average of three A grades or higher.

Almost 75 per cent of Kingsdale graduates have secured places at Russell Group Universities, including Oxford, Durham, Bristol, Warwick, Glasgow and King’s College London.

Fifteen per cent will be attending conservatoires such as the Royal Academy of Music, Trinity College London, the Royal Drawing School or 1994 Group universities.

Student Tacita Quinn, top left, used her A and A* grades to obtain a place at the University of Oxford to study History.

Moyenda Lowe, bottom left, achieved an A*, an A and a C and will be going on to do Hispanic studies and Japanese at the University of Sheffield.

Agnes Perroto Willis, right,  achieved three A*s and is off to Bristol University to study History.

Headteacher Steve Morrison said: “We are incredibly proud of how students, staff and parents have worked together and supported each other to produce another set of amazing A Level results at Kingsdale whilst navigating the unique challenges presented this year.

“I would also like to pay tribute to all of our students who may not have reached the dizzy heights but whose endeavours and hard work have enabled them to pursue their own exciting pathway of choice.”
