Nominations open for London Teacher of the Year Awards

Nominations for the inaugural London Teacher of the Year Awards – including a gong for best Southwark teacher – are now open for applications.

Award categories up for grabs span primary, secondary and further education, and special areas such as science, technology and maths.

Awards organiser Karen Brinkman said: “I see the society’s participation as proof of the value and prestige of these awards, and I hope it inspires people in Southwark to send in nominations for local teachers.”

The nomination deadline is midday on March 7, 2019.

Winners for each borough and London as a whole will be announced at the Royal Aeronautical Society’s headquarters in Mayfair in June.
